Getting started

To schedule an initial appointment, please call (206) 686-9441 or click on the link below. We’ll set up a 15-minute phone consultation to explore what’s bringing you to counseling and address any questions you may have about potentially working together. From there we’ll schedule your first appointment (an “Intake” appointment), during which time we can assess your therapeutic needs and how I may be of support.

what to expect

I am an individual, psychotherapy practitioner in private practice and not a crisis specialist. I provide counseling services in an outpatient format. Should we speak and determine that more comprehensive services are a better fit, I will provide referrals specific to your needs.

Payment & Insurance

Payment is due at the time of your appointment. I am an out-of-network provider and upon request, I am happy to provide a receipt for you to submit to your insurance company. Please contact your provider to learn if you are eligible for reimbursement and to clarify the degree and nature of your coverage for mental health services under your specific plan. It is your responsibility to verify your benefit coverage for mental health services.

  • Intake appointment - $160.00

  • 60-minute appointment - $120.00

  • 90-minute appointment - $160.00

I offer a reduced rate and payment plan option, although availability for this is limited.

Running late & Cancellations

I respectfully ask that if you are running late for an appointment, please call or email me to let me know.

I require at least 24-hours notice if you will not be able to make your scheduled time. Where possible, we can explore rescheduling you within the same work week to avoid the cancellation fee should something come up and you need to cancel within 24-hours of the appointment time. Payment for late cancellations is due prior to booking your next session.

—Groups & Workshops—

Whether in a workshop or support group, we'll explore how to foster resilience with humor and curiosity.

Testimonials from colleagues

“Working with Mary Anne was an absolute joy. She brings a kind presence, deep wisdom and positive energy to wherever she is participating. She rigorously researched the topic (which was confidence) and thoughtfully planned the discussion to ensure participation and movement. During her presentation she sourced a wide array of knowledge - from inspiring poems to cross-cultural wisdom, from psycho-social dynamics to dancing. Having Mary Anne join us added a special quality of thought-provoking insight and abundant acceptance.”

—Alex Strazzanti, MSW; Days of Exploration

"When Mary Anne came to speak about therapy to our coaches' training program (Accomplishment Coaching Seattle), she was well-prepared, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. But what really drew her audience to her was her being -- her heart, her grace, her power, her curiosity, and her playfulness. She filled the room with her authenticity and the class couldn't help but meet her with theirs. Mary Anne, thank you for your commitment to excellence in your work! It was a joy to collaborate with you and I look forward to the next opportunity to do so."
