scheduling
Before scheduling your first session, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can talk through your needs, questions, and what you're hoping to work on. It’s a chance to get a feel for whether we’re a good fit and to create a schedule that feels sustainable for you.
Using your insurance
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. Payment is due at the time of service, and I accept credit, debit, and HSA cards. If you’d like to use your out-of-network benefits, I will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
understanding your coverage
Because coverage varies widely, I recommend asking your provider:
+ Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health services?
+ Is pre-authorization required?
+ What percentage of the fee is reimbursed?
+ Is there a deductible I must meet first?
How do I know when I’m ready to end therapy?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Sometimes clients come to therapy with a specific wish in mind, and when that work feels complete, they may sense it’s time to pause or move on. Or, over time it becomes clear that the tools and insight gained are helping you handle life more confidently on your own. We’ll talk about this together—ending therapy is a thoughtful, collaborative process.
What does a healthy ending look like?
A meaningful ending involves reflection on your growth, challenges you’ve worked through, and what you’ve learned. I also welcome feedback. It’s an opportunity to honor what you've done, notice what’s shifted, and plan for how you'll continue to care for yourself. We may devote one or several sessions to this.
Can I come back to therapy later on?
I welcome hearing from you. Life evolves, and it’s normal to seek support again during a new season of change or stress. Many clients return for short-term check-ins or new phases of work, and you’re always welcome to reach back out when you feel the time is right.
What if I’m not sure I’m ready to stop, but something’s getting in the way?
If you’re feeling unsure, we talk openly about it. Financial stress, schedule changes, or emotional discomfort with saying goodbye are all valid topics in therapy. Endings stir up a lot, especially if you’ve experienced abrupt, painful, or ambiguous past goodbyes. My goal is to support you in having a different experience—one that is intentional, mutual, and affirming.
